Career Technical Education

Career Technical Education (CTE) provides students of all ages with the academic and technical skills necessary to succeed in future careers and to become lifelong learners. In total, about 12.5 million high school and college students are enrolled in CTE across the nation. CTE prepares these learners for the world of work by introducing them to workplace competencies and makes academic content accessible to students by providing hands-on experiences in various industry sectors (NMPED, 2022).

Grant Cibola County Schools offers a variety of pathways to earn not only a high school diploma but industry certificates, post secondary certificates, & completion of college credits toward a Bachelors Degree are all attainable with the current student pathways and programs of study. All of our Pathways are built for our students. Each pathway has possibilities for students depending on student aspirations.

Students should use the following GCCS catalog documents as a guiding tool to plan their post graduation goals. Please note all middle school career exploration classes are exploratory in nature, and one semester in length. This gives students an opportunity to explore different careers, in a hands-on way.
