Please join us for a Celebration of Life: to remember, celebrate, and honor, Coach/Teacher Daniel Otero. We invite the public, the community, former and current students/athletes , colleagues, family, friends, and anyone who knew Coach Otero. Let's come together to share stories, laughter, and memories, as we commemorate a life that has left an impact on us all.

Due to the potential of icy roads and snow, Grants Cibola County Schools will be on a two hour delay for Thursday November 7, 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel Otero, a respected teacher and coach whose dedication to education and mentorship inspired countless students and athletes. His legacy will live on in the lives he touched. Mr. Otero is an example of "Once a Hawk, Always a Hawk": Our deepest sympathies go out to his family and colleagues during this challenging time. On Wednesday, when students and staff return to school, counseling services will be available to support those affected. The district is providing additional counseling support services. Let us mourn his together to remember and celebrate his contributions to our school and community.
